Stable distribution for heavy motors and changing process loads
Cement and mining sites operate crushers, ball mills, kilns, conveyors, ventilation fans, pumps and hoists across long feeders and demanding environments. Large motor starts and changing production duty can cause voltage dips, elevated reactive current and reduced available transformer capacity.
Recommended system configuration
- High-voltage soft starters for controlled acceleration of crushers, mills, pumps and fans.
- Fixed or automatically switched capacitor banks for predictable base reactive demand.
- SVG or SVC systems where load variation requires faster dynamic compensation.
- Detuned or tuned filters where VFDs and rectifier loads introduce significant harmonics.
Engineering data required
Provide motor ratings and starting frequency, transformer capacity, feeder voltage, load sequence, existing power factor, harmonic measurements, ambient conditions and enclosure requirements. The final design coordinates starting duty, compensation stages, protection and installation access.
