Harmonic Mitigation Solutions

The HYFC high-voltage passive filter compensation device combines tuned reactor-capacitor branches to absorb selected harmonic orders while supplying reactive power in 6 kV to 66 kV systems. Each filter branch is configured from the measured harmonic spectrum, load demand and grid impedance, making the system suitable for rectifiers, furnaces, rolling mills and other nonlinear industrial loads.

The HYFC series low-voltage static passive harmonic filter and compensation device is an economical tuning-type filtering and reactive power compensation solution. It is composed of professionally designed filter reactors, filter capacitors, filter resistors, contactors, circuit breakers, and other components that form tuned LC branches.

The HYFC-BP series passive harmonic filter is specially designed for frequency converters (VFDs). Developed and manufactured by Hongyan Electric, it applies wide-band Fourier analysis filtering technology and integrates digital monitoring modules to record and analyze key electrical parameters in real time.

The HYFC-ZJ series passive harmonic filter and reactive compensation device is specially developed for heavy-load rolling applications. In cold rolling, hot rolling, aluminum oxidation, electrophoresis, and related production lines, severe harmonic currents are generated.

The HYFC-ZP series passive harmonic filter and reactive power compensation device is specially designed for intermediate-frequency (IF) furnace systems, which generate very high levels of harmonic currents. These harmonics deteriorate power quality, cause transformer overheating, voltage waveform distortion, cable insulation aging, increased losses, and unstable furnace operation.

The HYFCKRL series is designed specifically for submerged arc furnaces (SAF), also known as mineral heat furnaces or electric arc resistance furnaces. In these systems, the electrodes are buried deep within the charge layer, forming an arc and generating heat through material resistance. This thermal and electrical process is essential for smelting various alloys and chemical materials.

The HYLX Zero-Sequence Current Absorber is designed to eliminate zero-sequence harmonic currents—primarily the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th harmonics—that accumulate on the neutral line. Excessive neutral current can cause significant issues such as circuit breaker tripping, abnormal conductor heating, and potential fire hazards.
