The HYTSC high-voltage dynamic reactive power compensation system uses thyristor-switched capacitor groups to follow rapidly changing reactive demand in 6 kV and 10 kV networks. It is intended for rolling mills, hoists, crushers and other fluctuating industrial loads where fast compensation helps improve power factor, limit voltage variation and reduce the burden on transformers and feeders.
